Frequently Asked Questions

When does the conference start and finish?

Doors open at 9am for registration with the first morning session starting at 9.45. The conference will finish no later than 5pm.

Do I need to bring anything with me?
In order to help the registration process, please bring a printed or electronic copy of your ticket.  Once registered you will be given a wristband which needs to be worn throughout the day.

Can I pay on the day?

Yes, tickets will still be available on the door, but in order to speed up the registration process we ask that you book in advance wherever possible.

Please be aware we can only accept cash payments on the day. The nearest cash machine is across the road in Drake Circus Shopping Mall.

Where can I park?

Our venue, Plymouth Methodist Central Hall, does have a very small car park, but as there are very limited spaces available we ask that you use one of the many public car parks around the city.  The closest car park is the very large multistory car park at Drakes Circus Shopping Mall, less than 5 minutes walk away from the venue.

Is lunch provided?

Free tea, coffee, and bottles of water, as well as cupcakes and biscuits are available, but we do not provide lunch.  During our lunch break many of our ladies take the opportunity to head into Plymouth City Centre for a spot of shopping or to enjoy lunch with friends in one of the many great cafe’s and coffee shops on the doorstep of Central Hall.  The closest cafe is of course  The Discovery Cafe, situated on site, and you can pre-order your lunch by phoning 01752 266300 [Click here for menu]

For those of you bringing your own food, there are areas around the building for you to sit and eat, but please note that food cannot be taken into the main auditorium.

Are there any childcare provisions?

We do not have any provision for children at Stilettos, nor do we have any creche facilities.  Some mums with very young babies use a room at the back of the hall as a quiet space for feeding and changing their baby, but this is an unsupervised and very limited space.

We’re aware that this is a limiting factor for some ladies who want to come to the conference, but are unable to because of childcare, and we are looking at ways we can help at future events, but at the moment we are unable to provide any childcare facilities.

Teenagers are very welcome to come and be part of the conference, and we have a special discounted rate for under 16’s, but it is our opinion and recommendation that Stilettos is not suitable for children under the age of 11.
